Vesting

Vesting is the process of locking tokens into a pool, where a pool has a bunch of varying properties:

• who is allowed to enter the pool (some pools are public)
• how long do tokens have to be locked up
• which rewards are distributed for the members of the pool (rewards are distributed external to the functionality of pools)

Vesting is an entirely separate process from staking. The only intersection is that each token that is staked can also be vested and vice-versa.

Both vesting and stacking balances are kept on the Relaychain.
